http://www.mydigitallife.net/2007/08/02/attempt-to-reveal-microsoft-xbox-360-failure-root-cause/ I'm interested in finding out what causes the problem. Apparently, there is too much heat generated during the gaming process. Microsoft didn't seem to change anything visible. But maybe they changed something "invisible"? Some assumption of mine: 1) They changed something electrical. Less voltage is provided in the system and thus less heat is generated. 2) Some kinda firmware is bricked. The heat killed something and they just reprogrammed it. Questions: 1) Will the failure occure again? 1b) What if? 2) Is there any soldering done to the hardware? 3) Anything bogus about the "new" XBox? Stronger cooling devices, other sounds, performance changed?
