We have a Xen server with windows 2003 virtualized running at work the write times are very crappy or even stop for 2-3 minutes before continuing when copying files to the 2003 virtual machine from anywhere. The virtual machine has 4 CPUs 4GB RAM and a gigabit Link. Has anyone experienced this phenomenon or have any input on how to modify or increase the write speed?
Hi, If running with the Xen PV drivers, check the settings on the network card, and disable CHECKSUM OFFLOAD settings. If you're still running with the RealTek/QEMU 'hardware', install the Xen Tools. Hope that helps, Joe
