xp checking serial number on mainboard how to change ?

    hopefully some one can help me
    I got gigabyte mainboard G41m-es2l
    i would like to make a copy of a system with the same hardware so i have ghostet the harddisk
    with the same hardware on both machines
    so can i change the serial number on the mainboard so it is the same as the first one
    or can i change the sevice that checks the serial number on the board. in win xp pro

    i i think i need to find the uuid code or something

    so in short same serial number on board
    or disable the service that check for serial number

    not necessary..I dont really understand why you are thinking about mainboard serial numbers???

    hello

    Because the system builder, use serial number from mainboard
    so you cant copy or clone the system.

    i can buy the hold system /mainboard ram cpu harddisk software/ kost 950 euro
    or i can buy just the software but only with mainboard
    you cant just get the software pack.

    software pack is 3 cd/dvd with xp pro embedd and a special kodak picture software(i am a fotografere)
