XP drivers for new Laptop

    Hi, I have a new Acer (V5-171) laptop that came with Windows 8 and I'm currently setting it up to multi boot.
    So far I have OSX, XP, 8 and Ubuntu multibooting fine.
    Problem is XP needs loads of drivers and the Acer site only lists drivers for 7&8.
    Is it possible to track individual drivers for the various parts or is it a lost cause?

    Seriously?? Use XP in a VM.

    Try Driver Genius, it will find, store (on HDD) and install the drivers for you. You do need a working Internet connection though.

    You can also try installing Vista or W7 drivers, works surprisingly often.

    Well I've managed to track down all the drivers I need, the only problem I have at the moment is the battery icon always says connected to ac even when on battery.
    Any ideas?
