You have no idea how stupid you sound. You don't know me or my abilities to say such a thing. Don't bother replying. I know I won't.
Thank you kindly for responding.I have tried every which way except that. Just to clarify,I extract them all at once? Then burn? I trashed them all.I'll try again. One
Yes. You will extract them them you will see a File named en_windows_xp_home_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_x14-92413.iso then, If you're using XP,Try CDBurnerXP or Nero 10 Essentials (Only Burning CD Feature), burn it in a CD-R that is 700MB verify the CD (To Ensure that that files in the CD is intact and has no errors) and if ok,restart PC,Boot @ CD and Viola! Finish. But, if you have a ICH7,ICH8,ICH9,ICH10, nVidia,ATI,AMD or etc HD Controls Download first the drivers and slipstream it using Nlite.
We are not here to teach you basic things like how to extract rar files or burn an ISO file, There is the whole of the internet to search for information.
I actually do know about Nlite and slipstreaming.I covered these bases from within another forum before I actually tried to create an XP .ISO. I would like to inform you that I already accomplished this and have an XP machine up,running and validated. Talk about arrogance....It would appear that you haven't cultivated your social skills or dealt with the real world (people) in a very long time. You should consider yourself blessed that you are not my neighbor.I could school you in that area. Please learn some basic spelling and grammar so as to be understood by those poor souls you do interact with.It certainly couldn't hurt matters. Peace (Or War) One
Thank you for the information and your amicable attitude.I do hope you do not get jaded and arrogant as I have witnessed here on this forum.+1.
Is the ISO bootable, or do I need to make it bootable using my burning program of choice? Can I burn it to a CD-RW instead of a CD-R?
P.S. I appologize to the community for going silly in the thread of XpSP3ISO.Especially to sebus.I got issues....One "Living Digitally"....I get it now. Xp is a great OS.Thanks.
First I wanted to thank you, tcntad, for having the ISO so easy to download. I know this is probably a stupid question but is this the retail or VLK version? In trying to convert this ISO to OEM I have only found VLK to OEM or retail to OEM for XP Pro. Does anyone know where I can find those files for XP Home instead? Thanks.
Its retail im sure of. Im also sure you can try the files from "crete oem:slp thread" where yuo download and overwrite in i386 folder i think.
holy cow I am so glad I found this site. the XP Home SP3 OEM version worked perfectly on my friends older Dell laptop that he borked with virus. it saved him 20 bucks from ordering the disc and I had him up and running in a few hours instead of waiting days for a disc to arrive.
en_windows_xp_home_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_x14-92413.iso is Retail The image featured in this thread. en_windows_xp_home_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_x14-73422.iso is OEM
Note that this is not the 'official' m$DN file name for the win XP Home SP3 OEM ISO. In fact, there isn't one! x14-73422 is only m$'s part number for the win XP Home OEM SP3 CD.
Anyone else getting corrupted downloads from that site? I hashed my ISO (Retail) download and got this for the md5: 7202d6a6bc149d33af05b3e72d3a5a23 Over 100 entries were corrupt in the ISO (according to 7zip). I'm attempting to re-dowload from the second link in the text file for retail, but I have a 2 hour wait.
