Hi all, First, let me say I know very little about XPe, but I have been given an XPe machine to attempt to fix!! The machine keeps crashing it really does anything (screen sort of just flashes) I have a list of questions, all / some might be stupid but please don't flame me for being a newbie 1) Can I get back to some sort of desktop, maybe by connecting the drive to another PC and changing some reg settings etc? 2) Can I debug it somehow (I have seen a lot about remote debug but I am unsure if this is possible) 3) If I cannot get to a desktop or prompt can I rename or delete an .exe to stop it booting or maybe someone can list the boot sequence so I can figure it out. Have you checked the hardware... Try booting from a USB stick. Try swapping out the RAM or the DOM. What brand/model is it ?
It is just (very cutdown) XP So threat it as such when doing anything to it Boot it with WinPE & you can access it & do whatever you need to do sebus
