Hello I have Windows 7 POS Ready Embedded installed, and every time I boot, I encouter the error: Your clock is behind. Is there a permanant fix to this issue? Yes, I am aware of the Internet Time fix.
There is a battery on your motherboard, it's called CMOS battery that holds your BIOS settings. Must be low. You can measure it with a multimeter, red on battery side facing you and black on chassis and if it's lower than 3.x Volts, it needs replacing.
@remmas00 In some cases, replacing this battery in a laptop is a bit problematic, because usually it doesn't have a socket like in a desktop, but rather wires with special connector welded to it. So you have to order it separately. If you tell me what computer/laptop it is, I can look at what you have there. PS. And many laptops don't work properly when the battery voltage drops below 3.2 volts while in use. A new one has about 3.35 volts.
