Hi! What is the workaround for this annoying message? I installed in August last year Windows 10 on my PC using an older BIE distribution. Since December I receive this message, and now it says that it's not activated. I activated it with the EZ activator method from the Microsoft Toolkit 2.6.4. and it says that it is Windows 10 Enterprise edition. Does the new version of the MTK resolve this problem?
2.6.4 is the latest version of MTK. You should have a \Windows\AutoKMS\AutoKMS.exe file. If you don't an antivirus deleted it.
thanks mate , i had downloaded version 2.6.4 , but looks like it doesnt work for 1809 , infact my home lab Win 10 was activated with Toolkit , but after few updates toolkit stopped working Anyways please let know if any new workarounds come your way much appreciated
thanks mate , true, looks like MTK wont work on 1809 , please let know if any other workaround comes your way in future much appreciated
1. No update will undo KMS activations (the AV will get definitions updates, who can quarantine the kms activation). 2. MTK is abandoned by its dev but can activate 1809 (TAP settings), but best is to use a more uptodate and supported KMS solution.
Most forget that by default WU also runs MRT, which is by far the worst invasive crap ever made (with no chance to interfere) .
Yeah, it's supposed to work that way. I had it quarantining stuff in background without any chance to whitelist or restore the data. Nasty stuff indeed!!! First thing after installing Windows is now: Code: ::Disable MRT download (and scan) reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\MRT" /v DontOfferThroughWUAU /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
thanks mate , frankly speaking im not that of a techie, have you implemented the solution mentioned on KMS Solution, not sure on how to start with it, appreciate if you could provide some layman basic steps to start with cheers
I too would appreciate some help, since I removed the previous kms as it said, I installed the dll than ran with admin priv, but it still said windows activation failed in the command lines
1) download from one of the many links provided 2) extract the 7z file with the password "2019" without the quotes. If you don't have 7zip, install it (or winrar, or whatever your favorite compression program is) 3) follow the instructions in the included readme.txt
hi pf100, sorry to buy you with this, but what to download ? which link are you referring to ? appreciate your help , sorry to be a pain , im bit confused here ta
