    no errors here, or problems installing updates with Win8 and OPP2013. I wont allow a lot of start button, UI crap or craptivators to be installed. All are either retail oem or kms activated.

    No problems for my side except the download was blocked at 92 % a long time before applying the updates.

    Updated my Win 8 Pro x64 last night, had to restart multiple times but all installed successfully.

    Multiple reboots, all went well. Windows8Pro w/WMC x64 - no Office products - 15 updates.

    i have :soluto ,avg internet security. but software is not problem for this ,because on work pc is windows xp and after updates xp pc also gave me this error,but no soluto program on this pc only eset running ,so two different pcs and one same error after 13.05.14 updates.....:cool:

    i try find error when i be at home later today i will pos here error log :biggrin: :cool:

    ok but seams to be related to some kind of AV soft. What if you uninstall one just for to know if this causes the error?

    I thought Windows 8, and earlier, did automatic defragging. Did you disable that feature? Pretty hard to argue with success, but I can't help thinking there was something else going on.

    yeah that is an odd ball. I would almost have to guess that when you ran defrag on your drive it moved files from a bad area (or funky area) of your drive to a good one. Might want to try running a disk utility to check the drive for bad sectors etc etc.

    That would be best to use an apps like HDD Regenerator or DeRevitalize!

    back home today, after gone for Doctor stuff... then OH Well - wow lots of updates for 3 different machines... 3 machines x64 Enterprise and Office 2013...
    all machines received 21 updates. 100% install no problems.
    PS: I also have just rec'd info 1 more update available...
