180 Day Trial Key - Server 2012 R2 RTM

    Hi Guys, looking for a 180 day trial product key for server 2012 r2 rtm Datacentre ..

    Anybody know of one ?

    I would like to use the 180 evalution with server 2012 R2 Data Centre RTM, so i just need the key from the version you mentioned above..

    Could I change my key to this to get full 180 days or do I have to install with a specific iso ?

    AFAIK, you can't change non-eval to eval using the key (though reverse is possible for Server builds). So eval ISO is necessary requirement.

    Today being launch day, shouldn't there now be a way to get official trial keys for Server 2012 R2 Standard and 2012 R2 Essentials?
    I would really like to have one of those... But I have not found a way... Is Microsoft slow in updating the web page or am I just blind?

    Yeah, but isn't that for the non-final (=beta) preview, not the RTM - and IMHO the preview keys don't work the RTM... o_O

    I just tried activating with the Essentials preview key: Was not accepted as a valid key...

    What I want to do is install now with a trial key and set everything up and buy a real key within 180 days...

    If I use the GVLK key, how long do I have? And can I really switch to a retail key if I the server was installed with a VLK key?

    I haven't tried Svr 2012 R2 yet. So this info may not work. o_O

    I'm still using Svr 2012 STD as a trial. I installed it a little while after the release date and used the GVLK key, which gave me 180 days to activate. When ever the time was up I re-armed it, which gave me another 180 days.

    Its looking for activation again now, but I'm thinking of trying Svr 2012 R2 instead. ;)

    p.s. Also done the same for Svr 2012 Essentials in a VM, but that been messed with a lot so I'm not sure which key it on now.
