Yes, the previous version doesn't have this problem. I guess they are trying to limit the use of extensions <> ".exe".
Maybe, in alternative we can always change the extesion in .xappl files, hope we can make .dat in the future, i see no reason to delete the extension choice.
Hey catalin, i have problem with Spoon and PE Explorer 1.99R6 ( last version ), can you check it out if is the same for you? ( not the msi but the portable version ) My VM was XP SP3. Thanks
You mean that you have problems viewing icons in Save/open dialogs? I am not familiarized with PE Explorer 1.99R6 so can you please show me witch file extensions do this?
No no, it not start at all and give me error, without using your software, only Spoon Studio. I want to make PE a portable software, but at startup crash, instead the installed version work fine
Ok. I don't have a license for PE Explorer 1.99R6 but PE Explorer 1.99R6 virtualized starts fine on my (real) computer. I tried both situations: exe made by Spoon Studio and dat + exe. Maybe the problem appears when it tries to check the license, who knows, but unfortunately I can't check this.
One solution is to ask them why it's not working. Another one is to use Spoon Studio support... A third solution: you can try with Thinapp. That's how I made Portable BSPlayer Pro - problems with license too.
I have opened a new issue at the spoon support. But this time isn't Robert, but a new guy...let you know how going.
They have answer me. About Pe Explorer, they don't do nothing for free now like test the application licence service, maybe has changed the internal politics or something like that About the "Out of the box" feature, don't know if you rememer, they decided not to implement at this time. They haven't had any other requests from customers for a feature like this, and is also a significant piece of development. If they have greater demand for this in the future we would definitely reconsider
? Can someone tell me how to make Kaspersky portable with spoon studio, there is some license error appearing when I try to make it portable? Also there is similar problem with daemon tools.
Well, this kind of programs have some additional protection against loaders (used for bypassing the license check). When they are started inside a virtual environment they "think" that a loader was used and they refuse the license, even if it's genuine. On the other hand, these 2 programs are not so easy to virtualize, because they install some drivers/services inside the OS, which can't be easily duplicated inside the virtual environment.
need help how to add file associations for word (and excel, powerpoint...) in windows so that I can directly open doc(xls,ppt...) files? please help.
How do you intend to use your virtualized Office? As an msi installer, single exe file made by Spoon Studio or multiple exe files generated by ExeBuilder + dat file generated by Spoon Studio?
