    New version of ExeBuilder. You can now change the icons of the exe files.
    The icons can be loaded from dll/exe/icl/ico files.
    The links from the first post in the thread are updated.

    It's a good question. Select a single icon make the .exe small, but have multiple icon need if you extract from there, for example, the icon for file.

    In this version you can select an icon or all icons.
    Ok, I will try to modify so several icons could be selected...

    You make always good work :p

    Catalin, a question.
    Want type of app you have made with Spoon?
    I have made:
    • Adobe Master Collection x64 Suite ( separately .dat for each software )
    • 3ds Max 2012 x64
    • Nero 9 Suite ( separately .dat )
    • Office 2012 x32 ( Not Spoon but Thinapp version, and the guide of Office in my case working for my x64 Windows 7 )
    • other little software
    Everything with the demo/trial of software, of course. And Spoon evalutation.

    I forget Acrobat X ( Free and Pro )
    Sure, my list is a small part, only the most important ( and licensed ) software.
    We are for a portable Word

    @johnmcloud, would you be so kind to share your guide for Office 2010 for Win7 x64?
    I'm having "not enough resource" problem packaging it with Spoon. I know the guide is for ThinApp but might help me.

    thanks

    @a_catalin, did you package IE8 using the template or clean capture. Whenever I try to launch a Spoon packaged IE (no matter what version) it always closed it immediately.
    Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

    thanks

    First. Create from DvD the ISO
    Integrate in the DvD the service pack and the language pack, make the capture more easy.
    Capture Before
    The test build is Windows Xp SP3, install Office in C:\Microsoft Office ( NOT in C:\Programs Files )
    Activate it ( maybe you can activate twice after capture )
    Open the Help file from all application
    Post Scan
    Before building make this changes:
    Copy the OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform folder from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Microsoft to the folder %Common AppData%\Microsoft ( in the project folder )

    Open the HKEY_CURRENT_USER.txt and add this string:
    Code:
    isolation_writecopy HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Environment
      Value=ALLUSERSPROFILE
      REG_SZ~%Common AppData%

    Open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.txt and add this string:
    Code:
    isolation_full HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search\Preferences
      Value=PreventIndexingOutlook
      REG_DWORD=#01#00#00#00

    Build It
    Share this version on your Windows 7 x64, open it and reactivate the software

    Mediafire now not working, the entire site not your link.

    Make the only the first icon by default, make the .exe smaller. If we want all the icon make the changes in the setting of the software.
    Or maybe you can add a popoup ad make the choice like:
    Import the first Icon
    Import Select/All Icon
    I don't kwon how work you file, i'll test it when mediafire site is up

    Thank you for testing.
    1) It's not a bug: the third column is only for the original files from the project, not for manual selected one. Do you think that I should change it to reflect that a file was manually selected?
    2) For now you can use Ctrl+A (the key combination used in file browsers to select all). But a "Select All" button is a good idea...

    @a_catalin I used Win7x32 to package IE7. Will give XP a go. Many thanks for your help.
    I definitely got better and faster answers from here than from Spoon Support.:worthy:
    Not sure if this is appropriate to ask here but I haven't got anything from Spoon support. When I published the packaged apps via terminal server none of them launch. I followed Spoon guideline to the letters. It complained about missing virtual machine components...

    1) Yes, i think when you select a icon for a file without it (Missing Icon), ExeBuilder can show like "Icon by user" or something.
    2) Happy to help you for improve ExeBuilder
