2012R2 key on 2008r2

    hi Guys,
    i don't know if it possible to install windows 2008r2 using 2012R2 key,
    because Microsoft doesn't sell 2008R2 key have to buy the 2012r2 key,
    the apps we will implement on the deployment will run much better on 2008r2

    any suggestions is appreciate it !

    First, impossible.

    Second, use Daz's loader or MTK.

    The only possible way is to use the same key from Windows 2012 > Windows Server 2012 R2 seeing that technically its just a SP. The same rule does not apply to Windows Server 2008 > Windows Server 2008 R2 because they are based off two different OS's but thats a different story :D

    i know about the loader think, but this a legit work place which i am not allowed to use any kind of loaders,
    need to be ms legit otherwise i will need to look for another job :)

    who said that Microsoft is not selling Server 2008 R2? You can still buy the License through VLSC or through other channel.
