it wont make it retail, oem or VL if you remove it, it'll make the key decide what kind and also what version you want to install..
what kind and what version? you mean one DVD can be used to install x64 or x86 AND choose which edition i want?
Yes ? If you want both 64bit and 32bit you have to make an AIO yourself. Deleting the ei.cfg file allowes you to pick edition (starter, basic, premium, pro and ultimate) for install. Making an AIO creates one single .wim file with all 32bit and 64bit editions available.. Deleting the ei.cg, removes the oem/retail/vl mark and makes the key decide..
I think the easiest would be to use Windows OEM Preinstallation Kit for this. It is complcated, as it is not easy to change it using notepad only sebus
Hi group. Lame question I suppose. How does one capture the OEM sources from an existing installation of Vista? The tools are available to capture the cert and key for sure but where in the vast abyss of windows files would one find the OEM sources? Thanks in advance. benzofree
Seems like there are different OEM folders for windows 7 editions. to make Ultimate OEM dvd we need Ultimate OEM folder. I am looking for Lenovo Professional folder but not available on this thread. Is there a way I can make it? I have Lenovo Windows 7 Professional DVD 32-bit (Official DVD from Lenovo) but I am looking to install 64-bit because I upgraded my RAM. What do you guys suggest is a good way to get to 64-bit?
ok..just one question..Can I instal the profesional or ultimate whit an HP home premium OEM folder or strict home premium...thank you
You can install any version you want obviously, just change the OEMSLP key in slp file (or whatever its called or how its done) if you want 7 to activate
från = from Ofcourse i do, why shoudnt i ? Its basically just pictures in the oem folder and the cert+key is used for both 32bit and 64bit.. all you need to do is change the OEMSLP key to your version.
