    MSI HP $oem$ Report/Question

Howdy all people here. Happy NY2011!

Yesterday I had a need in MSI Win7 OEM DVD and naturally tried to compile it in usual way based on MSI HP $oem$ (taken from official recovery media) as published here. Of course I'll take a look inside this folder first - its content/structure is pretty much different to a common $oem$ folder taken from DVD.

Anyhow, I gave it a try w/o any success or even a visible trace in installed OS like MSI logo or MSI screen background or something else...

Is there any special technique to handle oem folder taken from a recovery partition rather the ones taken from DVD?o_O

    Please advise!

    THANK YOU:worthy:

P.S. Is there any other info from z genuine MSI $oem$ around?!

I tried to download the HP ones but they don't seem to be downloading - are the links dead?

Here is an HP OEM Brander for all Windows 7 versions:

    Code:
This will brand any Windows 7 ISO with HP Branding.
What's different about this version? this will also brand Windows' Theme, not
just the Log off / Log on Screen.

How to Modify Theme (replaces Windows 7 Theme):
    * Replace 'Wallpaper' in: $oem$\$$\setup\scripts\brands\HP
    (Name new wallpaper 'Wallpaper')

How to Modify Log Off/Log On Screen OEM Wallpaper:
    * Replace 'backgroundDefault.jpg' in: $oem$\$$\setup\scripts\brands\HP\backgrounds
    (Name new wallpaper 'backgroundDefault.jpg')

    How to use?
Place '$OEM$' into 'Sources' folder, rebuild ISO, complete.

    Note:
Your machine must have HP OEM SLIC 2.1.

    Compatible with:
    Windows 7 Starter
    Windows 7 HomeBasic
    Windows 7 HomePremium
    Windows 7 Professional
    Windows 7 Ultimate
    Windows 7 ServerStandard
    Windows 7 ServerEnterprise
    Windows 7 ServerWinFoundation

the one on page 1 does not allow for branding Windows Theme, only Log Off/Log On Screen.

Thanks for letting me know though.

    Dell Ultimate

I just downloaded Dell Ultimate.rar from first post.
Dell Ultimate.rar\Dell OEM\$oem$\$$\DELL_version has such content
    Code:
    Windows 7 PROFESSIONAL
So for what version (Professional or Ultimate) is this archive?
