Anyone have the Viewsonic files and can upload it somewhere? I managed to get all the other stuff listed on the first page by digging through this thread, but I can't get the Viewsonic files. There's that one Chinese site linked but I'm not installing that spyware downloader crap. Much appreciated if someone can kindly do this so I can "perfect" my AIO disc ;)

It's possible you would have to copy the entire directory structure to your windows folder so they match up with the existing folders there, then run the file OEMFirstRun.exe

I can't unpack it and am a little hesitant to run it on mine as I can't unpack it to see what it does. There's also an IE8 rebrander and something called NOBU_Promo (no idea what that does).

Did anyone run either of these on their VAIOs?

    Hello all,

as this is my first post I want to thank everybody who contributes to this great source of information!

    My story:
I have a DELL Latitude which came with Vista Home and I already installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on it using an original DELL Reinstallation DVD. Works perfect.
I now plan to buy a HP Probook which comes with Windows 7 Home Premium x64 but I want to install Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on the Probook using the DELL DVD.
I had a look at the $OEM$ sources of the DELL DVD and the HP OEM I found here. I found a difference in the scripts:

the DELL OEM first installs the licence certificate on the machine ($oem$/$$/setup/scripts/slp.cmd by calling 'slmgr.vbs -ilc <certificate>') and then installs the product key
while the HP OEM only installs the product key but not the certificate, although it is part of the HP OEM package (OEM.xrm-ms).

Can anyone bring some enlightment to this difference?
If I modify the DELL DVD with the HP OEM should i then modify the HP script to look like the DELL script?

    Thank you!
    DerDieter

You can use your Dell OEM disc. There are no modified files on the Dell disc.
Without making things complicated, do this:
    1) Make an ISO of the Dell disc
    2) Use PowerISO or UltraISO to open the ISO you created
    3) Delete the $OEM$ folder; this is the folder with the Dell specific files, you don't want it anymore
    4) Extract the HP OEM sources folder you downloaded from here. Drag and drop the $OEM$ folder you just extracted into UltraISO/PowerISO.
    5) Save the ISO and now you have an HP disc.

Burn the disc using a DVD+R DL (the Dell disc won't fit a single layer disc because it has 25 languages). Or use one of the tools available here to put the ISO onto a flash drive so you can install off of that directly.

I wouldn't worry about the differences of the $OEM$ folders. All the OEMs do things differently. Some use xml scripts to activate. Doesn't really matter. Just make sure you delete the $OEM$ folder on the disc you are working on first, then put the new one in that way they won't conflict.

Thanks! That's what I thought, but I wasn't quiet sure.
I already use an USB flash drive, so I just substitute the OEM parts :)

    Thanks again!

There is HP on the front page in the first post. Just change the key to an ultimate key.

And remove ei.cfg file if present in sources folder.
