its fairly easy for a poster to say they are original. how can we confirm if its true or not?? a scan of the original disc would be nice.
from what i can see the SLP.cmd has a different time stamp than the other files and i didn't say they were fake just thought they had been altered i don't see the need for the slp.cmd
Is there any tutorial for this? How does it work? Example: I have a HP laptop, All I need to do is, download HP oem folder, integrate it into ISO image and than install from the DVD with HP key?
And how will you then confirm the scan of the Original Disc? This way how can you ever confirm something for true ore false in the internet? DELLs OEM DIRS are (for the Home Premium) 100% identical with the Original OEM DVD from DELL. It comes with my doughters Inspiron 1545 in November. An ISO Image of this DVD has the size of 5,74 GB (6.168.772.608 Bytes) for the European MultiLanguage Version. Changing this Image to an Ultimate Version is very EASY (changing the KEY in the \sources\$OEM$\$$\SETUP\SCRIPTS SLP.cmd File and set the Edition ID Tag in the \sources\ei.cfg File to Ultimate So for me I can confirm that the OEM Dir for the DELL HOME PREMIUM from the first post is exact the same as of the DELL DVD I own. Be carefull I only can confirm this for my self!!
If your HP Laptop has SLIC 2.1 in BIOS then you are able to use a OEM Win 7 Disk to install and offline activate Win 7 You need to integrate the complete $oem$ Dir in the \sources Dir of the ISO Image. The Key is allready in the \$oem$\$$\setup\scripts\SLP.cmd File for Home Premium. The \sources\ei.cfg File must be look like this Thats all Change to an other Edition is easy Only the Key and the EditionID must be changed regards Donk
any case to find autounnatended.xml from alienware OEM win7 x64? or can someone modify the Dell one for alienware ? i think files are missing from the alienware source folder. OEM info logos etc are not installed. just the product key and cert but even for this i have to leave the product key blank when i am asked to during win7 installation. i have made this one from the Dell one but i dont know if its finally ok for alienware. if someone wants to test. i ve just made a fresh format and i am not going to test anytime soon.
Its also an UPGRADE DVD which means there is no OEM folder in it. Its a regular old Windows Upgrade disc.
you shouldn't need to modify the alienware OEM folder or the autounattend.xml I just downloaded them to check and they are complete... if you are not satisfied with this I can re-upload it for you along with a file list..
On the Original DELL OEM DVD there is no Autounattend.xml File (searched the Image for all *.xml) I don't need one by myself, so idon't have one. regards Donk
Dont know if it helps but I just checked my Dell Vista Business discs and no autounattend there either.. Batch files in the scripts folder are a little different too but that maybe because its Vista..
In my sight there is also no need of an Autounattend.xml File This option is made for Administrators who have to setup lots of company clients, with the same OS and the same settings. There is also an option to include other software with that method to the Image or the netfolder. It may be usefull for a single person if that person wants to build an setup media with his personal settings. If you have a DELL PC (or Laptop) with the correct SLIC for the OEM Version then you do not have to enter the key manually or leave something blank while the Installation of Windows 7. Without the right SLIC in the Bios there are only two ways for making your day with Windows 7: - get a modded BIOS (or a BIOS update) that include the right SLIC (2.1 for Windows 7) - use a loader that simulates that BIOS with the right slic regards Donk
Thanks for the conformation there is no Autounattend.xml on the dell dvd i know how it works been doing unattended installs for few years now since xp the original question was were they original dell $OEM$ folders i was saying there was no need for both slp.cmd and autounattend.xml both were adding certificate and key
The AutoUnattend.xml also changes some settings in windows unlike the batch file that only installs the key the autounattend also makes sure that the OEM branding and the OEM themes are installed and used
