don't be franken-racist Don't get defensive, not here to be fight about it. But really, that is a franken way to do it, just be honest. People hear word franken and make assume is bad thing, is not, after you make work the un-installer, this will be one of the good franken's.
@hazar greetings Hazar your script has many bugs, and not only in the uninstall process v.g. Of course that must be added (nononsence) for configuration %syspath% IF EXIST %SYSTEMROOT%\SysWOW64 ( SET SYSPATH=%SYSTEMROOT%\Sysnative ) ELSE ( SET SYSPATH=%SYSTEMROOT%\System32 ) where is %syspath%\Filebackup ? takeown /f "%syspath%\spp\* " ---> not for folders!!! del /q %syspath%\spp ?????? ---> not for folders!!! not "move" ---> xcopy and more..., you must resolve this... good luck
Not being defensive at all Jinjie I just view it as being more of a general disabler, whereas frankenbuild replaces files to trick it.
Just tried the disabler in R2, it shows -in initial config. task - win not activated -in system under control panel: both activation & status are blanked -in win update: Code error 8004F807 shown, not able to check update
greetings Hazar --added IF EXIST %SYSTEMROOT%\SysWOW64 ( SET SYSPATH=%SYSTEMROOT%\Sysnative ) ELSE ( SET SYSPATH=%SYSTEMROOT%\System32 ) --Without %syspath%\Filebackup and without "del /q %syspath%\spp" --renamed folder spp with "move" is OK Now it seems that everything is ok An improvement over the timernuke Thank! Good luck
I narrowed it all down to one file. See if you can update with this (must not have used previous version) Uninstaller is complete now, provided no previous versions were used
tried V3 on R2. do uninstall first, reboot and check, same error as before. do install on V3, showing same error. will try UR next version before reformat
This is not an activator; just an alternative for an activator. This just tricks Windows so it can no longer tell that you aren't activated. It works just as well, though.
Get the uninstaller working, and Bob's your Uncle. Re-Upload, then you'll see other people want to use this. Especially for R2.
OK re uploaded fully working uninstaller and hopefully no more update problems it seems 1 file slwga.dll causes WU to go mental, but it should be ok now. again if previous versions have been used you need to reformat for it to work. Also it seems to be all down to one file in 7 - sppcc.dll
Many Thanks Hazar. Using this type of activation will allow us to receive windows updates ? Many thanks for the support.
