If you are having troubles 270.61 will probably solve anything. 275.50 is the latest beta (not recommended for Windows 8.)
Hello all, I was wondering if I could get some help as it seems I'm getting an error msg on window 8 welcome screen. The error is a 0x0000007e nvraid.sys . I have 2 -75gb drives in a raid-0 array with 2partitions, my first partition is win7 125 gb and active and bootable. When i tried to make the 23gb partition active i got a warning that thethe first partition might not boot so I didnt continue with it, so its still just a primary partition. I just cant seem to get past this error, any help would be appreciated. I;m using 6.2.7989.0.amd64fre.winmain.110421-1825.iso Here is what my drives look like. Just found this and its what I'm getting but with the 0x0000007envraid.sys error.
Thanks for the quick response, OK, so I'm ok in that sense but do you have any solutions for the error msg? again thanks.
According to the error msg, it seems to be the nvraid.sys causing the problem. Can you update it to the latest x64 driver?
Well I up dated the driver for the nforce drivers, and still getting same error msg. I even tried a couple of nvraid.sys versions and got the same msg. Still stumped. I have all the files structures on the new partition but still hangs at welcome screen then I get the error msg. Any thing that I might have missed or any other solutions? Thanks.
Yea I saw that those drivers were working, but just where do they go in the new Win8 folder structure?. Do I just place them in the partition an use set up to install or what? I see that there are folders in C drive in, program files, program files x86, and program data. Just where do i place them to install? I will install them in the Win8 partition and see what happens. Thanks.
Thanks for the link, but to use the program, they want $. Plus my eset warned me about the link as being hehe, not so friendly, hehe, sooooooo, I installed 15.58 nvraid drivers in the partition and the little welcome circle goes round and round, not like before it when it stopped quickly, but then I get a 7b error mgs, which, when i looked it up the mgs relates to saying "The storage control blocks were destroyed." Any one have any ideas about how to resolve the 7b error msg? I dont think the device drivers are what my problem is. I installed the 270.61 and still had the nvraid.sys error. Thanks.
Chiemeka, I didn't want you to download the Repair Tool, that's why I pointed you to > nvraid.sys error troubleshooting and: > If you are experiencing nvraid.sys error, it is possible to fix it manually by removing the below files and folders: %UserProfile%\Application Data\<affiliate id>\ %UserProfile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Malware Destructor.lnk %UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Malware Destructor\Malware Destructor.lnk %UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Malware Destructor\Uninstall.lnk %UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\Malware Destructor.lnk %UserProfile%\Local Settings\Temp\kjkkklklj.bat Windows 7, the folder is C:\Users\ %Documents and Settings%\All Users\Application Data\mswd\ %Documents and Settings%\All Users\Application Data\mswd\db.avdb Hope the above helps...
nvraid.sys error This proved unusable for me as I am accessing my D: drive (win8) from c: win7 and after gaining access by changing permissions I am unable to find any of these posted addresses in full, they simply do not exist in my 7989 installation. My pc is hanging at startup of win8,... reboots... error is nvraid.sys.. either safe mode or normal. My PC is configred raid 0 and win7 boots just fine.
I was able to install 280.26 from which I downloaded at 3DGuru. Fear, Mafia II, and Modern Warfare 2 all run perfectly.
