7989 with zigzagging desktop icons... Help!

    Have you guys tried to install win xp video driver (in compatible mode, of course) instead of win 7 driver?
    Win xp drivers worked better for me...

    Oh thanks.. Never thought about that. If I try to install the driver for a fresh system, which compatibility mode should I use? Vista or 7?

    No I haven't, because there isn't a XP driver for 64-bit system...o_O

    Vista driver = compatibility mode for Vista
    7 driver = compatibility mode for 7

    Well for me I typically use the stock built in drivers for most things. I had to install Creative audio drivers but that installed with no problem at all and with no compatibility mode.

    Problem solved. Enabling .Net 3.5.1 before installing the driver makes everything fine. Thanks everybody for your help.:cool:
