yea lol. BTW I would still get that universal extractor program though dude. It really comes in handy if you have a file that you don't know is infected or not. For example today I downloaded a crack for the new powerDVD 10 by BRD(I know bad to begin with). The crack was good but there was also a file slipstreamed into it called email.exe. This file was a backdoor trojan and if it was not for the extractor I probably would not have ever known otherwize. Damn Norton did not pick anything up lol.
this is why i hate sharing with noobs.. they think their Anti-Virus is the end-all/be-all .. these noobs jump into the scene and without any research or reading.. open their mouths and start accusing .. it is a pet peeve of mine.. the worst is when they're using FREEWARE Anti-Viruses and think it's good because it produces lots of "False" alarms .. Word of Advice to the "noobs": Research the topic before you accuse good people and their hard work Or get out of the scene and go buy it !
Funny thing is that my Avira free at the time of making that torrent didn't flag it...lol Just like Kaspersky and others, etc...lol I really like avira even though it isn't so popular...lol And yea plenty of beginners flamed me on that one...lol
yea but.. the difference is you're a seasoned veteran.. It's only a problem when NOOBS are using FREEWARE A/V and solely base their accusations on that .. trust me.. on the other site i am part of .. we deal with Warez out in the open.. and i have gone at it with a few Noobs that accused me of trying to infect their computer.. a few times.. i had to do research just to shut them up ... where it should be the other way around.. they should be the one doing the research .. im merely sharing/helping
lol...People are demanding and sometimes don't have any idea what respect or appreciation is...lol But the good beginners who are cool and happy make up for the dipsticks...lol I guess beginners have their own dark and good side of the force too...lol *Yoda* Hard to see the Noob side of the Force is...he he ha ha he ha...lol first time ever used the word noob...lol
MDL, Hazar + Orbit 30 are clean but, only if you get the software from a link via MDL. Just a few weeks ago I downed a loader because I could not find the version I wanted on MDL. The loader orginated by a great MDL user/programmer but, I downed it off a p2p site. I kept looking and found it on MDL too. The files were named the same but, different sizes. To make a long story short, the p2p file was infected and the same name file I found on MDL was clean. A p2p user downed the clean file off MDL, then repacked it with malware and seeded on p2p. MDL is a great site with great users who want to help, I trust this site and all advice they give.
Good avice here. I use Universal Extractor t clean up lots of keygens than have been packed with trojans. In fact I ANALYZE EVERYTHING first and if won't unpack I execute it in a throw away VMWare machine and go looking for the real executable while the keygen is running. It's a must. Don't leave home without it
tell you what, i have have my share of virus and trojans in keygenz but this advice right here seems to be the most honest i 'd seen in years, learnt something big here today, Thanks. universal extractor uhmmm........
I think I see some Unpacking tuts in iamnoobs future. Search and read. @ TS, Yes, sandboxie is a great little app.
