8.1 install question

    When installing 8.1, i am at the point where it says "select cd-rom boot type" do i select 1 or 2 for the second time. Which option do I select?

    Select cd-rom boot type:

    Can not give anymore info than what i see. It happens when I first put dvd in which i selected 1 and it went through the 1st 2 options of install now it appears again. what do I select plz?

    I Usually Get This . . .

    Press any key to boot from the DVD or something like that. If you press a key, it boots from the DVD and if you don't it will time out and boot from the hard disk.

    Gonna start over as I selected enter then 1 then 2 and nothing happened. Should this screen have normally appeared during the middle of install?

    I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. wish I could help. Any chance you can explain a little more? I am confused at this.

    I should of taken out dvd when it was done with step finishing up so that option of boot from cd-rom would not of come up. Worked fine after that.

    oh, lol yeah after install it wants to keep booting to the disk. I gotcha now, what an arserash that can be if not paying attention. Glad you got it sorted ;)
