a) Is anyone else unable to snap two apps together? Like, one app taking up a part of the left side of the screen and another to the right, as demonstrated by Microsoft? Whenever I try dragging an app back, I never get the option to snap them, I can only go from one app to another. If other people can do it, please explain! And a how-to to fix this would be great. b) Is anyone else having the problem where in the "Files" subsection of Metro no files are displayed? And if anyone's had this problem and solved it, can you say here? Cheers. c) Logging off and shutting down takes a very long time, is there any reason for this? Cheers, guys.
For the first question, you need a widescreen monitor to snap apps, if the resolution on your computer is below a certain resolution, it won't work. (I can't remember the minimum resolution, I think it's 1366x768)
First one, 1200x800 does not work, 1440x900 works as showed M$, have tried on many res, working only from bigger than 1360x768
Running the WDP in a VHD here and I can confirm that it doesn't seem to boot or shutdown significantly faster than Windows 7. Booting into Windows 7 from the WDP boot manager actually takes much longer since it takes quite a while until the boot manager is loaded and then it seems to restart just to load Win 7. Hope that is improved until RTM.
