Just got back home, but I remembered to ask him about your speed of light query. He told me, he did it on purpose to confuse the fools who actually believe the human mind is an instrument that can be used to understand the universe. So, you see? There is nothing spiritual about it at all, it is as simple as that. He was a bit pissed off at the end of the 18th century when a certain Kant (name says it all!) found out exactly that. But one can always trust in the stupidity of that result of the failed experiment to create an intelligent species, that, should they ever find any truth, they surely will ignore it completely. When pressed on this, the old guy admitted to me, that yes, he had over-estimated his ability to create an intelligent being, but he was able to learn and never attempted anything like that ever again. We had a few more laughs about stuff like black holes, string theory, dark matter (the devil was also there and he admitted, that that had been his idea, he felt his dark realm had been discriminated against and physicists are suckers, they also fell for his idea of a nuclear bomb...) and then the funnily overblown believes humans have about the role of DNA.... By the way, if you ever meet him, insist on a bottle of Cabernet Nebukadnezar from 598 BC (the other years are horrible) but that stuff, boa that is like skunk....
Well the next time you see him ask him why he created the devil. If he claims boredom tell him you don't believe him.
Nah, Lucifer is our better side - wanting/needing the truth, to learn and grow, in spite of the lazy conservatives, having to drag all their dead weight behind us, gripping our ankles, yelling NO down there in the mud... Universal law of the Cosmos: "He who travels alone travels faster - but Humans must travel together"... Sadly...
That is a misunderstanding, he did not. He is a bit schizophrenic. But he liked it when humans were stupid enough to blame the devil for the existence of good and evil. When I asked him, he said it is funny, ours is the only planet where the inhabitants believe that there actually is good and evil outside their heads. I told it is his fault, he should have made humans a lot more intelligent. He answered, he liked it like that. Watching earth is the funniest thing in the universe....
This may have already been mentioned in some fashion; haven't read through the whole thread. My question is: God, so many people say that you MUST exist, that we couldn't have come from NOTHING. Then WHERE did YOU come from? What is YOUR beginning?
Yes, of course, dealt with ad nauseam - after all, this is metaphysics and this is a philosophical thread...
