Hi, Thanks for the W7ESUI tool! Using it I've successfully installed KB5004951 (PrintNightmare update). Unfortunately as some other users did, I run it to a problem with broken printing functionality. There are few printers in the system - some still work some don't. One of these non working ones are AutoCAD built-in printers (these are print-to-file printers - not hardware ones). I need AutoCAD printers to work (well, for a work). Hence I'd like to uninstall the update in question. Uninstalling the update might not be the best option, but IDK how else to fix the issue (yes I've googled, but solutions are only proposed for W10, while I'm on W7Pro). A quick search here revealed that W7ESUI doesn't have such an option (uninstallation). However a "workaround" is mentioned. Could you please elaborate on that "workaround" subject? Thanks!
@Das_Human if you only installed one ESU update (KB5004951 in this case), you can uninstall it normally from Control Panel but if you have multiple ESU updates installed, you should try BypassESU https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/80606/ you only need to use option [2] Install ESU Suppressor afterward, you can install or uninstall any ESU update normally
@abbodi1406 Thanks for the answer! There are quite a few updates installed already, so I've used the BypassESU. Prior to using it though, I've checked the list of installed updates and to my surprise KB5004951 wasn't listed! Although I'm 110% sure it was installed successfully. Hence all the issues with printing... Out of curiosity I've tried to install the update again (with W7ESUI). It had installed with no issues and after a reboot it had appeared in the list of installed updates. Then uninstalled it via the Control Panel > Installed updates. Uninstallation went with no issues. Unfortunately all the above made no difference, since printing still isn't working properly. What a bummer!
