About Windows Defender Update :)

    Hi, I'm currently running Windows Defender as my Antivirus, I'm running Win 10, Enterprise. If I turn off windows update, do I get Windows Defender Definitions automatically? or how would I configure to get definitions automatically, by turning off Windows Updates .. Thank You.

    as far as i know, you can't select updates from Windows Updates (even on LTSB as i read on other threads), and that's the way Defender updates its definitions, so unless there's a way to manually download definitions and install them, i don't think it's possible atm

    I don't think there's a way to get them. if you have the newest drivers from all your hardware MFG's you won't have to worry about win updating them. If it's security or fixes, wait and see if one of the IT people here know of a way.

    P.S. If you DL software, games, and worry about them, then don't even use defender, as it's the worst. Get one of these free AV, Bit defender, Avira, Avast.
