Just done a clean install, activated, account this time isn't locked, but the name is again taken from the mail address!
I remember I already installed Win8 once with a wrong name (put by me this time because I didn't know the name account was forced to be the account folder name) and couldn't restore some of my backup of some bothersome programs, so what should I do? I'm finishing address name I can easily remember!

    I think I solved!
Made a new local account, deleted the previous, and connected with Microsoft.
There shouldn't be any problem doing this, right? Even a slightly slow down, I hope? I still have to use it throughthly!
    Feedback still appreciated! :p

You simply could have disconnected the online account from the system, it would simply have asked you to create an offline local account.

I have a question, I gave a Dell 8300 to another couple, it was activated with Win 10, when I bought computer it came with Win 8 OEM, I bought from newegg a licence that upgraded it to 8.1 Pro, and then upgraded to Win 10, when I gave it to them I left myself on as administrator because I was afraid if I changed it it would not be activated, my question is, when I put anniversary update on it, they do not want clean install, just upgrade (Inplace) should I leave Administrator thing alone as it is registered to me, I think it is registered to my MS Account too:D

    I'm stumped:g:

Same thing would also happen in Windows 8.1. It's pretty annoying but no big deal.

Just do upgrade if that's what they want, make another admin account (local) for them in what name they want,
reboot and login to the new account then delete all your account just leaving only theirs.
    activation will stay.
