Good news, I finally managed to mod the last BIOS with HP infos. I'll post the BIOS link, etc, on Win7 section. Gradius
Greetings Gradius. May I ask which program you use to read a BIOS file and identify if it is SLIC 2.1 enabled? Many thanks and best regards.
The ACER 2.1 cert is totally new, it works only with Windows 7. For Vista you need the ACER 2.0 cert, but this is not compatibel with SLIC 2.1 like it is on other manufactures.
No, you are wrong Did you read what i wrote, a system with 2.1 BIOS SLIC and the new Certificate will activate both Vista & W7, tested and confirmed working
If it works on both (Vista & Win7), then, the better. I don't use Vista anymore, so I cannot personally confirm. Gradius
I included SLIC_ToolKit inside on Win7 folder, this is the last version (2.0, the tool, not slic) and the best so far. For best, I mean because it works on 32&64 bits, besides, it runs faster and shows the infos immediately (no need to press dump anymore). Gradius
Sure, no problem. Thanks, it will help me to pay the USB floppy drive + floppies + headaches I spent to recovery my notebook back there. Gradius
