    How to change Processor name in bios?

    Is it possible with any tool?

    No. Its been read from microcode in cpu itself.

    As already mentioned, it cannot be changed in the BIOS, it changes itself when you change the processor.
    But if you want to trick someone You can change what is visible data on the System panel, you can change it and write whatever you want. But it is changed through the registry, not through the BIOS.
    In the registry, look for CentralProcessor and ProcessorNameString
    That's the key
    Code:

    And somehow I was hoping windows would check for correct hardware every time it boots up... ;D :p

    I can't say how lasting this change is. Have never tested it yourself, but there are such a recommendations on the Internet.
