There must be some change to version X activation then since that AdobeLM.dll file was the crack for version 9. I hope a reputable release group is working on X fast...

IE9 is still beta so may not be supported yet and I don't think integration with Google Chrome was ever intended so don't expect it with version X.

is there an uninstall tool for v9? (I assume the Control Panel applet doesn't do the job properly). If not, did you just manually delete any "Acrobat" folders and reg keys left over?

Just FYI, there is yet another security update to v9 (v9.4.1?) scheduled for release in the next few days.

Just Installed Acrobat x Pro trial after imaging my computer (which had no prior version of Acrobat). Install was a breeze and done in 5 mins. Compared with acrobat 9 pro extended (updated to 9.4), disk space usage is perhaps lower by 1 GB which is understandable.

If you open acrobat x pro and then any pdf doc, then you get a nag screen with trial reminder. However, clicking on a pdf doc and opening the doc removes this problem. However, the nag screen keeps on appearing every 2 mins giving option to buy or try, and signing up. How to disable this????

Hope I am able to reimage back after 30 days and install it again.

Don't know about a removal tool for ver. 9 but after uninstalling it there were still files left behind and even after using a reg cleaner program I still had to do a manual search for all remaining refs to acrobat. I get the nag screen of 30 days or enter a serial as well. It would be awesome if CODYQX4 and the gang could find an in-house solution given the success of their office toolkit. What do you say guys, up to the challenge?

There is one nag screen per doc which has to removed. Perhaps opening the program and then opening the file removes this nag screen faster rather than opening the pdf which by default opens with adobe.

Quite irritating but can not complain since it is free. Further, not much usage of adobe at home PC where the trial has been installed.

Ok, so I posted a serial but I don't want to get banned so I've removed it. PM me if you want it or use google to do a site search of bbs.pcbeta.com. This serials works without the need for any cracks. Remember to disable auto downloading of updates (preferences--updater) and modify your hosts file.

Thx to blitzkrieg for the heads-up warning.

Instead of reimaging all the time you can use Symantec Workspace Virtualisation (formerly Altiris Software Virtualisation Solution) to virtualise your apps. Its free for personal use, use the trialware link from the Symantec Website > Business > Workspace Virtualisation in "Product Finder"

Adobe did a good job on Acrobat X, it installs and run a lot faster that acrobat 9, now it seems "usable"

    Great product.
