Then why ( !!) install this bloated ...., if you dont use T&D ?? You only need the boot-CD for backup/restore ! ( I only installed it for using T&D ......)
And why not to install? To restore something I need to have something backed up. I do monthly full backup of the system disk. Sometimes for example after browser update something is broken. I restore previous version. Or I use settings folder from backup after reinstalling some program to avoid to do all settings manually.
This is not a good idea! Since ATI2014, countless bugs in Acronis have been fixed and with every new ATI-version the compatibility with the current Windows versions is adjusted! And yes, I also think it's stupid that ATI has been extended with a lot of "junk-features and functions", but supposedly this was demanded by customers. Anyway, I haven't installed ATI for a long time, but use it exclusively from a booted medium. It works very well and no superfluous background processes make my system slower.
This is not an overall tendency. There are a lot of examples when old versions work much more properly than newer. But anyway this is my personal opinion and experience. You can take it into account and try or simply ignore.
Firstly, we are talking about ATI here and I have relevant experience with that. Secondly, I don't agree with you and I can announce it here! If you are of another opinion, then it is so, but therefore your statement does not become more true!
" with every new ATI-version the compatibility with the current Windows versions is adjusted! "...............agree With Win10 , every 6 months a new upgrade, its important to keep all your software up to date , or you will run in serious bugs.......
Absolutely. It varies. Say, for 1607 LTSB this is not the case, isn't it? I only want to say, that there are no the ONLY way to keep the system intact with the help of ATIH. As everything in computer world.
Thanks nova-s again, for your hard work you do for us all the time. It works a breeze, without any errors whatsoever!!
