Is there any utility to make an USB bootable media with legacy boot?. I'm currently trying to make it with Rufus but only lets me UEFI boot.
You can use YUMI or YUMI UEFI (depends on what you need) and chose GRUB mode or perhaps there is an option for acronis (not sure)
You have to disable secure boot on yumi. On Ventoy you can use it. Ventoy supports exFat. +compatability.
I recommend you to stick to Yumi!! when you want make your USB, let Yumi format the USB at the beginning, and choise NTFS if it a large usb and you plan to add more ISO like Windows 10. For Acronis choose Unlisted ISO GRUB! and go on. Here is how a make my USB tool and never failed for year, with Yumi!! Components: - Acronis True Image 2020 : >>> use "Unlisted ISO (GRUB)" | File: Acronis True Image 2020 25700 - Gparted: >>> use "GParted" | File: GParted Live 1.1.0-1-amd64 - Ubuntu: >>> use "Ubuntu" | File: Ubuntu 20.04 Desktop-amd64 - Windows 10 : use "Single Windows 10 installer" | File: Windows 10 2004 [May 2020] (x64) - French I do not recommend Ventoy, when it came out, I adopt it, then destroyed some off my usb, so I keep using Yumi for now on, why stop using something that works fine, for sometime super problematic.... at the end, if is up to you...
But are the .iso versions fully functional or do they have restrictions? Thank you (I have always installed the .exe and then created the iso by the program itself, but now perhaps it is better to use the iso directly)
