Well, bad news here. It seems that TrueImageMonitor does not like the absence of AAKORE at all! It keeps writing a constant stream of errors to log files within these folders: C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Logs\aakore_support C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Logs\ti_monitor Can anyone else confirm this?

Had those (ti_monitor.0.log and aakore_support_TrueImageMonitor.exe_xxxx.log), before using your script, basically since I disabled the services, so nothing to do directly with your script removing the folder... I solemnly inform you about the return to the Acronis True Image 2019 23.5.1 Build 17750 version, which was worked flawlessly by nova-s. If there is a worthy successor with the latest ATI version, I will install it. The last ATI 2020 version 24.6.25700 seems to be working really stable. Have you had any problem with it too?
Tak, ta wersja po kilku poprawnych uruchomieniach tworzyła nieskończoną ilość kopii zapasowych aż do zapełnienia dysku. Yes, this version, after several successful runs, made an infinite number of backups until the disk was full.
That's too bad really... It seems Acronis is going downhill with this product year after year! Judging from version 2020 I started to believe it was getting back on track with the new TIBX format and all, but then comes version 2021 and instead of focusing on improving what really matters - the backup solution - they release TWO new totally unnecessary services - Cyber Protection and Agent Core!
New script with minor fixes: :: - When removing AAKORE, log folders for aakore_support and ti_monitor are now deleted and blocked :: so they won't get constantly filled with errors. :: - As requested, server 'download.acronis.com' is no longer blocked in hosts file. :: Please restore your backup from hosts.bak and run the script again to patch it correctly.
I recently observed one major issue: When exiting the main app TrueImage.exe, it crashes during exit and Windows creates a large .DMP file inside the program folder. Has anyone else observed this behavior?
First, the "Press any key to exit..." is broken. And yes I already wrote about it, it happens since the first 2021 and with Teddy's script too. If I stop all but the 3 services (like in my .bat file I wrote in a post before) I get error but on startup (but not the next time if I delete the .DMP file before starting program next time), if I start all of them, naturally all is fine. But I have not bothered trying which service or exe is the culprit / or a combination off, and not to get the error... So yes I get the horrible 373MB TrueImage.exe.dmp Annoying, but not the end of the world, since it just gets replaced each time, ie it does not create a bunch of new ones like the logs used to grow. But at least no more logs written, and the download is now fine! Good luck finding what else to do to get rid of the dump file and the error associated with (I do not have high hopes since it is obviously the TrueImage.exe itself creating it). If you need help testing please say so; I have a backup Win on other SSD, that I can mess with no matter what
Create the .Dmp file since the AAKORE service was removed. Re-activating AAKORE the problem no longer occurred. In addition, with the service disabled, ATI's protection remains blocked with the word download in progress ...
The script did not work for me at first because I had an access denied issue. So I tried to disable (kill process manually via Process Hacker), And then I went to "Services" and disabled, afterwards repeated the use of the script. All went fine. Then I rebooted. All is activated fine. The only thing I see now is that when I start ATI 2021, a feedback form pops-up. I just disregard this and use ATI 2021 30480.
