hello skyteddy, thank you for the information. I even reinstalled Windows 10. (without further software) Then ATIH 2021 installed with the script offered here. ***** as offered by you ****** Unfortunately (no idea why) I can't do a desktop recovery, the program hangs - i.e. Egg timer runs and runs ?? No problems with version 2020 enjoy
Same here, I have the same error. Booting from USB (Rescue media builder) is ok but it hangs after loading the image files.
Hello goldy100, ok, that means that at least the activation worked this time. Best take a look at the forum of Acronis. There you will find (very) many problem reports about the new version. Maybe yours is one of them? Is there any advantage in the 2021 version for you? If not, better use ATI 2020. have fun!
Hello user, thanks for all the hints. Activation of everything O.K. But it is possible that the error occurs with other users, he just has not yet been noticed that seldom or almost never a desktop Recovery is made. So it could be another component should be? It is just a guess. As I said, stick to 2020 because there are no mistakes. Thank you
Ok, then the case is solved here and everything else is OffTopic! Here we talk about Activation and it's problems! You are here OffTopic! Take a look at the forum of Acronis. Nobody prevents you from using this version!
I do that all the time (recover to secondary disk) and no issues, nothing to do with activation script. Just an issue you have (windows build, installed AV and other programs), and so for the other pointed thread not this one anymore. Good luck...
Same problem here, Im create a usb booteable media w Acronis TI, Universal restore and acronis disk director. Im tested in a Dell Optiplex 3010 win 7 legacy boot and Acronis TI freezes, Optiplex 3070 w10 uefi and freezes too. In a VM acronis TI not freeze. Rollback to acronis 2020 no problem. Ati 2021 have freezes problems in a boot usb. No problems w script, its works great!
Maybe you are just too impatient? It looks like Acronis is freezing, but it is not. I have seen that device detection can take up to 5 minutes when booting from rescue media, especially on Dell PCs.
No, he freeze randonly, sometimes on boot, sometimes opening a menu or clicking a button. On a Dell Vostro notebook work fine. No problem w ATI 2020 in all cases.
I remember a Dell Vostro 3750, I had the same problems. After a bios update the problems became less and after a memory swap they were gone.
I have the same problem with the new Acer Veriton ES2740G too. Booting and getting to ATI interface is pretty fast and then it freezes randomly after that especially after browsing to the image files.
The new ATI2021 or maybe even 2020 version normally spends quite some time "analyzing disks" at which point it does look like ATI freezes. It most likely is a bug of the program itself.
Good afternoon. When running the script on Win 10, an error occurs "was unexpected at this time" Win 10 Pro 10.0.19041
I have no idea where exactly the error happened. For me the activation of Acronis on Windows 10 V2004 works without problems. What I would do: - uninstall all the Acronis products - use the "Acronis Cleanup Tool" (link you can found here: click me) - reinstall Acronis True Image - stop temporarily the virus scanner if it is not the windows defender - start cmd with admin right - run the activation-script from here, but use the switch /v (verbose mode) see here: Code: Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19041.610] (c) 2020 Microsoft Corporation.
