I use ATI 2019 boot medium 8linux-based), it works on 90% the pcs (creates fast and stable .tib-Files). With the newest PCs the current hardware is not recognized with it, therefore I use the ATI 2021-Boot medium (WinPE based) for it, because also here the linux-based version made different problems.
The 2021 boot cd is working fine for me. I just used it a couple of weeks ago to clone a hard drive to an SSD.
Linux or WinPE, Created or downloaded, all the same; 2021 is buggy on many PC-s (I service them). 2020 works on all...
i have massive issues with 2021, just when it starts. it takes too long, and when its up, it freezes all few seconds, just when i click on something.. Anyone else? Any tip, workaround? Thanks
Since quite some years ago, Acronis can only be used with its WinPE version, not on a live system, sadly. Installed program is bloat and buggy. I never use any backup software on live OS, only offline with boot media
skyteddy, thank you so much for the ATI 2020 38530, it's been a tremendous help for me. The backup I performed with 2021 version somehow kept getting stuck while trying to restore it-- on windows and as well as boot media approaches, but many thanks to you I was able to restore it with ATI 2020 38530 without any freezes/issues. I plan to avoid 2021 for some time, cheers!
