Ah sorry, my friend tells me only the "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Acronis\CyberProtectHomeOffice" value "standard" is needed, and the PE version program files are extracted from the installer, also they don't need to be patched.
yes that works, but when you create a BootCD you see Acronis 2021 again In the end it remains Acronis 2021 and not the new Cyber Protect
Maybe there is some way to restore the WinPE and Linux boot media files from the Cyber Protect setup, as long as it does not affect the activation and the boot media functionality remains.
Addendum: Only one version is unlocked (ATIH) through the installation became the versions Coupled. At Cyber Protect Home Office is only in the Cyber Protect Home Office account But in the window is Acronis True Image 2021. It can not be uninstalled for a version, both disappear.
make a boot stick with rufus grub 4 dos use this entries title Acronis AIO Cyber Protect 39620 find --set-root /iso/Acronis.AIO.CyberProtect.39620.iso map --heads=0 --sectors-per-track=0 /iso/Acronis.AIO.CyberProtect.39620.iso (hd32) map --hook root (hd32) chainloader (hd32) boot use this tool for Defrag The iso on USB Stick wincontig-2-4-0-3 Legacy Boot no Problem for x64 and UEFI Motherboard ( Linux is in ) I Make a video
I have had a lot of discussions with the developer of rufus many years ago. Not me alone, see also the forum of rufus and the faq! The last years i tried many times, YUMi, rufus (and a view more tools) and since last year ventoy. - rufus did not work on all pcs! UEFI most not. You must use wincontig to defrag files on an usb-pen-dribe/usb-stick! Cracy! - YUMI works pretty fine, but you must decide before, which version you use. If you use the (old) legacy boot or UEFI you have to use separate versions of the YUMI.exe. But it works reliable. - Ventoy is the most modern tool. Legacy or UEFI-boot are supported. Also secure boot! It's easy to use, has tons of extensions and plugins and is well documented. And the developer is very active and constantly develops the tool, fixes bugs very fast and responds to user requests. I never had any problems with it. Now you can decide in which tool you wanna waste time
I know all of that, have used and are using all those tools, since dey have different options/usages... Also that Rufus did not work before (have tried it myself). And I do have issues with YUMI (both of), it does not detect some of my USB drives sometimes, it is a pain (no matter if USB is MBR/GPT FAT/FAT32/NTFS) large or small, no clue why... But I just have tried the latest Rufus, full UEFI mode with Secure Boot enabled, and it works perfectly (Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office 26.0.1.39620 and older Acronis True Image 2020 38530 iso files)! I will also try it on my laptop (Intel gen 7, full UEFI, secure boot too), and see if any difference and report here..
In an emergency it is important that you can rely 100% on your tool! It's nice that it happens to work on your PC now. But it is not guaranteed that it will work on other PCs and in the future. Please don't, this is about Acronis and its activation and not about tools to boot ISO files. Even if it works for you, it does not mean that it will work for the others.
Will try, and report (I know this thread is about activation, but it is just one Post? ). I do service PCs (work as IT) and often install new SSD and clone on, so will bring with me both USB and try them... And regarding "that you can rely 100% on your tool!", for me YUMI is the non reliable one!
Last answer to the off-topic-waste: The developer of rufus did not support Acronis-ISOs! See the FAQ. There is nothing more to say about it! If you want to discuss further, please open a separate thread! This is off-topic here!
I know all of that, just stating my conclusions, dont be mad Will open a new thread with my findings, if it is such big off-topic (did not start it thou )
it is the problem of the forums it are off topic as usual to believe that their brain is missing 1 neuron thank you for reminding them
