Anyone know why it wont activate for me ? Would you suggest that I try his method anyway? 2) I understand from what I read on these boards that the mini KMS has to keep running after installation using resources (though limited resources). Does Tuvi's method also use system resources. 3) Tuvi's method seems to also require activate every 180 days: " of course after 180 days you need to activate it again, just run keygen.exe and "cscript %PROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft Office\Office14\ospp.vbs" /act" again." 4) You suggest that I make a .bat file - unfortunately, this is way beyond my abilities.

Activated new office successfully without any troubles on 1st PC. On the other two PCs had the same problem. Seems activator doesn't work when initial grace period (30 days) is not expired. I changed system date to 2011 and activated office successfully, then changed date back and activated once again.

I never have been able to get anything short of the beta file copy activation method to work but this is what did it finally. Can mini-mis activate at will now. Thanks again thavmym!
Same time schedule as Windows KMS activation. It will try to re-activate every 7 days. If it can't establish a connection it will try again in 7 more days, the cycle repeats. When it gets close to D day it will try every two hours. After 180 days you will enter a 30 day grace period and try every two hours. These values are reconfigurable (except of course the 180 day and the 30 day grace period). If you have several Windows Pro/Enterprise or Office 2010 machines you might as well leave ZWT running on one of them, and let all machines activate off it on the usual schedule and stop thinking about having to reactivate.
Hi guys, How does this mini KMS emulator work? Did somebody preactivate with a legit key and then somehow captured the KMS data from that? Does this mean that activations from the KMS emulators can be blacklisted by Microsoft in the future?
How does the KMS thing work? Well it activates office 2010 through a fake KMS server emulator thus retrieving the data through it in order to activate office 2010, Windows 7, Visual Studio, etc...And no it can't be black listed at most it can be blocked through a update to all those programs which should take a little while...As it is a fake KMS server emulator it should be rather interesting seeing as it doesn't really exist ...
With KMS in Windows I believe a unique ID is stored which can vaguely tell what KMS server was activated against (not just the host: port), although I can't get office to display any such value. However if it is possible, they will simply blacklist it through OGA. And unlike previous OGA versions where all failure ment was you couldn't download templates, with 2k10, if you're not genuine you'll run in red-alert notification mode.
My guess is that since the Office 2010 RTM has yet to hit retail stores the site won't confirm you have a very early leak of the RTM...
I have a question: if I use mini-kms to activate office will i be able to receive future updates for it?
Hi guys, I am using the method as described in post 1. When I run the keygen, I only get the ZWT keygen for Windows 7 Pro, there is no begin to process your request. As the result, I keep getting error codes and activation failed. Oh, I am installing the select volume edition picking the pro plus. Any idea? Thanks Edit I think the firewall is messing with the keygen. I allowed it in the firewall but it won't work until I disable it. Now that been more than 15 times, the keygen can't get a working key. Is that normal? I will try again later else I will wait for maybe Retail activation method lol Edit If anyone having the same problem, try rearm office 2010, I think it is caused by beta and pre rtm activation. It should work after.
The Mini-KMS setup does indeed work, however Drazen11's Activator is an easier solution since it can be setup as a scheduled task with the .xml file. I'd definitely recommend this fix, just make sure you have the right version of Office 2010, which at this point is the Select Edition Volume License x86 or x64. If you attempt to activate any of the RC copies, you'll be wasting your time. If you installed the RC or any beta version, uninstall it, then reinstall the Select Edition clean and you should be home free from there. Also, disable your firewall using any of these cracks as I've noticed they can affect their operation. Just to add, I've done 12 installs of Office 2010 for others using the Drazen fix and have had no issues following the above method.
