System imaging is supposed to clear out everything, and is it not more robust and reliable than system restore. My system image is new (28-4-10) before installing office 2010 and activating with mini-kms. The question I am asking relates to the activation grace and consequences of not activating till that time.
Ok in that case if you don't activate by then office 2010 goes into Notifications mode with it being a bitch and doing pop-ups every time you start it... I like calling office 2010 Bitch mode lol...but yea for the uninstall thing office 2010 does not get everything cause I checked... I'm just sayin thou you can take my advice or not its up to you...
This is good enough. The steps I propose 1. I will restore system image (before office 2010), reinstall office 2010, not activate it, and hope for a robust activation, or activation of retail version. 2. If nothing happens in 30 days, go back to the same system image, reinstall office, and repeat 1. Does that sound good.
Thanks that is a shorter option, but restoring from system image (minus office 2010) and reinstalling office 2010 unactivated takes 20-25 mins and is largely unattended. That could also be more robust and reliable. On a side note, have you thought about the number of times you have used `dude' in your 1578 posts so far. Sounds nice and friendly, but reminds me of The Big Lebowski.
Shelmo-Tuvi method has now started working for me, and as long as it works, it is the preferred method for me. The beauty of all these methods is that I can run kmsreset again on top, and go back to 180 days. It is like forever 180 days (at least for now). Only small grouse: one does not know when it completes. However, running check.bat enables one to see whether it has worked.
i'm using Windows XP and used smorgan's/tuvi's activation. i uninstalled the previous office 2010 4734 activated via token files of office 2010 beta. then i installed the build 4763 and used smorgan's/tuvi's activation but it still said activation failed. even before i tried the activation it already said failed activation. help please. EDIT: it's ok now, i just had to keep running re-activator until i am activated. this is what happens when you don't read instructions. XD thx a lot to smorgan and tuvi. *thumbs*
@Phazor Is your Activator v6.0 still going to be released or has the mods new policy in the Applications Forum stopped that? The policy itself seems inconsistent to me. There doesn't appear to be an issue with activators in the Windows threads and with VL Office 2010, the same KMS activation method applies...
Phazor has assured us that he will release his KMS Activator as soon as possible........ hip hip hurre......
Is the ZWT keygen used here safe? Does it leave any files after you run it or try to connect to some site?
Dude, yes it is safe to use. ALl it does is emulate the KMS transfer. It does not have anything in it that can pose a threat!
Hi, Can anyone enlighten me? I have Office 2010 ProPlus VL which shows activated, but when running WGAdiag it shows "109 N/A". What does this mean? Thanks.
uh, tito, phazor, smorgan, hazar....anyone out there? what's the deal with Office activation guys? are we just going to stick with wzor's mini-activator or what?
I want to clear up something here, the mini-KMS activator should be used only with the Volume version and not the Retail copy. If you use it with the retail copy, the following command is run Code: cscript "%PROGRAMFILES%\Microsoft Office\Office14\ospp.vbs" /act What the above command does is, it activates the copy with the retail key you have used against online MS servers. The same command when used with a Volume copy will activate against KMS server. The behavior of the /act command is based on the SKU ID.
