dude.. are you blind? READ THE PREVIOUS POST: SO YOU'RE FULL OF CRAP ! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT .. LOL
Are you serious? Did you not read my previous posts and the Microsoft articles? Or are you just trying to be a troll? Wzor talk about OEM SLP activation for Office which has NEVER existed and it will never exist. Then they talk about how volume license keys now require KMS activation. There's absolutely nothing new about any of this. You see, prior to Office 2010, all volume license editions had the ability to bypass activation. You would simply install Office, using volume license media, enter your volume license key (VLK), and Office would immediately activate (offline activation). This was known as Volume Activation 1.0 which was also implemented in Windows XP and Server 2003. Starting with Office 2010, the newer Volume Activation 2.0 has been implemented. Your previous volume license key (VLK) is now considered GVLK (Volume:GVLK) and it requires activation through KMS server. No more offline activation. This method was first implemented in the volume license editions of Windows Vista and is now part of all volume license editions of Server 2008, Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 as well. Needless to say, Microsoft got many complaints from the corporate world, regarding this new volume activation mechanism, and how it wasn't very practical. In order to address these complaints, Microsoft came up with a new activation mechanism, for volume licenses only: token-based activation. In this new activation mechanism you use your GVLK, install some license certificates and you're activated. KMS server isn't required anymore, which means this is a complete offline activation solution! This was first implemented in the volume license editions of Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2. Now what does this token-based activation mechanism remind you of? Don't you think it's very similar to how the OEM SLP 2.0 mechanism works? That's why I said that token-based activation is the volume license equivalent of OEM SLP activation. Again, they are NOT the same, but they work in a similar way and they are both offline activation solutions. Since there's no OEM SLP activation for Office, we should use token-based activation (TBA). No need for that. This will be my last post on this subject. If he can't understand what I just wrote, then there's nothing more I can do.
