Go to Setting and you will see PC info You would not be able to see it first time. Go to Desktop, browse the internet and come back to Setting and it will magically appears!
you installed Windows 8 Pro VL, which is missing the "Add new features" option. you need to install en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.iso SHA1: 1CE53AD5F60419CF04A715CF3233F247E48BEEC4
i followed the steps but when i enter my WMC key it says i need to activate my current edition first. i am not sure how to fix this?
Which version of windows 8 did u installed. The retail or VL. Are u abel to see the "Add new features"
awesome!! i got it activated! thanks a million! xD Anyway.. imma just curious.. what does that data.dat contains? Imma pretty new to this.. so imma pretty concern if there is any kinda funny thing inside that data.dat that gives away personal info.. pardon me if i sound stupid...
I've installed Windows 8 WMC clean (both x86 and x64) a number of times on different PC's from this all in one ISO (cChinta-W8.MDOA.12.86.64) All I then did was simply click the "Activate with a new key" and entered the free key supplied by M$ - that was it, activated. I'm not sure why but I didn't have to mess with any files or such?
Please don't discuss unverifiable distributions. Instructions are provided to create any ISO that you could want but anything that you download from the internet is something you should use at your own risk. It's in the rules.
FaiKee your data.dat was activated using kms or MAK ? IF KMS can you give the epid , thanks in advance
Thanks it works ! installed from prowmc replaced data.dat, forced my own key with slmgr and i'm activated
It worked like a charm on my first attempt... but when I reinstalled Windows again I got this error code 0xC004C4AA Unable to activate Windows 8 Pro with Media Center. (Error code: 0xC004C4AA) You might see this error after you used the Add Features to Windows 8 app to upgrade your current edition of Windows. The Windows 8 Pro with Media Center edition can only be activated on PCs that had Windows preinstalled, or Windows was purchased on the Windows website or at a retail store. To fix the problem, you need to install Windows with the product key provided to you in an email or with the DVD. Any suggestions please?
