Activate win8ProWMC without first activate the Pro version

Can someone give me a help& point me the right way
1. install windows 8 pro minus key at the start screen
2.done the kms thing
3.gone to system32 folder
4.then to spp folder to open store folder
But then i have a problem as i can`t see my data.dat file
ive read the info on the forum and tried google to takeownership
but no luck so i cant import & replace the data.dat file that appears on this site

Can someone explain how to unlock the system files to replace with the data,dat file

Did You went to folder options in the config screen and clicked the option "Show hidden folders " ?

of course i uncheck hide system files

is there another way to unlock system files

 

In the View tab of the Folder Options dialog box, there are two options you need to check:
1) "Hidden files and folder": select "Show hidden files, dolders and drives"
2) Uncheck "Hide protected operating systemfiles"
Although I found that in practice you don't need to do 2) above, it might make your life easier. Also, taking ownership is not necessary when working with the files in system32\spp\store.

I think you were trying to do something like "Clean install to NEW system with integrated 8ProWMC ISO and activate with only one new WMC key".

I also noticed the Mod have deleted the reply from Ambidav to you above with his new/corrected "data.dat" attached. Don't know why that happened.

 

There are several ways.

Just copy the data.dat also you don't see the file.
Make it visible by 'show hidden files'
Remove the hidden flag, as I posted.

the attib command removes all flags from the files within the folder location.

open command prompt as administrator and than type in the line I wrote, than you see the file.
Or you use the other methodes. But as the one over this post said, just copy to the location.

kms is not needed. but you need to run command "WindowsAnytimeUpgradeui" and input the ProfessionalWMC key mentioned in the first post in this thread.

you don't have to see the file, just copy data.dat over to "store" folder and override the origin one which is hidden.

If I already activated Pro then WMC (using both legit keys,) should I use my data.dat or this one?

 

any data.dat which comes from ProfessionalWMC upgraded from Pro works well. activation is not a matter here.

 

so the data.dat file on page one is from a activated pro.....right ?
if so im guessing i can use my own data.dat from my activated pro on a fresh install.

Actually I installed ambidav AIO in my 3 computers using different MS keys and it activated with no problems. These are new installation and not re-installation.
