I have downloaded Windows 10 iso but I can't install it now.

Can someone please tell me if Windows 10 can be activated with my Windows 8 key + certificate + bios slic ?

    Thanks

Just use the Win 8 key after install is finished to activate. Or when your system is an official oem system with oem:Dm bioskey it will use that key by itself (at least till the 29th of this month).

The problem is that I don't plan to upgrade anytime soon, and far beyond 29 of july.

I know that after this date a Windows 8/7 key will not be accepted anymore.

This is why I've asked if using Windows 8 key + certificate + bios slic it's possible to activate Windows 10.

No, certificates and slic worked with windows 7, not 8.

Disconnect all drives and use a spare hdd to obtain a HWID now you still can and after establishing the HWID disconnect the spare drive and keep using your current windows. In the future you can install win 10 and activate your system with the HWID you already have established.

Just deploy install w10 on a native VHD (or on a separate partition), and put it in dual boot.

What about installing Windows 10 on VmWare Workstation ?

I suppose that the vm will "hide" the underliyng phisical hardware so the HWID will be bound to the vm itself.

... maybe the HWID can be transferred from pc to pc ...

Not gonna happen it is hardware ID related so different computer different hardware ID

sorry, I meant the license can be transferred from pc to pc to obtain a new HWID for the destination machine.

If it is a retail Pro key I believe you can transfer it to another computer, as long as key is not being used in another computer tied to HWID. 1 key, use 1 timeo_O

Why complicate your life with a relatively slow task when you can deploy w10 on an additional native VHD in literally 5 minutes?

That native WHD will be also usable on HyperV and Virtualbox, if needed.

Because I've no "experience" with the VHD format, but I'll take to look at this option

After a little bit of investigation I can say that VHD(X) is the better, faster and easier solution for my needs.

Install Win10 os, activate and then delete the multiboot enty menu and the vhd file.

Installed July 29 on the Vhdx without problems.

After installation Windows 10 was already activated, probably because I have an Acer notebook with cd key in the bios.

Also, the notebook itself comes without a cd key sticker.
