    I have successfully activated windows 8 build 7955 with Windows 7 ultimate beta key, but it seems useless as when running 'winver' it shows "Evaluation Copy.Expires 02-07-2011 AM 05:29".Is there any fix to remove this or at least extend the evaluation period ?

    Don't worry about it, by that time we'll have a newer, much better build than this one! LOL

    Actually odds are you won't, it's less than 2 months away, and beta isn't expected before september.

    So where is the timebomb located.can windows 7 activation files be used to replace those in win 8.maybe from windows 7 beta.Anyone from MS?

    Typing slmgr.vbs /xpr gave the message "Windows(R) Ultimate Edition, This machine is permanently activated".But winver.exe shows Expires on xx.07.2011.Probably MS forgot to modify all files.

    Buddy!! Its an pre-beta edition.... all editions prior to RTM are time-bombed, slmgr.vbs can't give any info abt the time-bomb but winver can... :)

    I do not need persons, only files, or explanation...

    if you were banned, the reason is up to MDL staff, on top of that if you want to show something, you know which is the proof..

    There were people making activators for 7850 and 7955, and they have not been banned(in fact they are heros to many people). Why would you get banned for showing your little secret?
