Activating Microsoft Windows 8 Pro with media center for free with legitimate key!

    from what I read no. No WMC in Enterprise..

    It doesn't "completely" change, the KMS(or whatever activation) record is kept in the data.dat file in the Store folder. Even if you don't read into the binaries, you could notice it is about double size of the original before WMC upgrade. :p

    Any way to check if win is genuine? All Links tell me system is not supported, so far.

    using "/slmgr -dlv" can that link be used hehe. I am assuming that means it checked for WGA

    Correct... if you -ipk the GLVK key after retail activation - even with KMS offline... ur KMS activaton returns...:eek: same vice-versa - so u can toggle activation type by just changing the key in fact

    PS this happened with my Dreamspark retail key ie same installation - may be different for WMC

    I successfully activated my Windows 8 Pro with Media Center 64-bit! I'm also using a Microsoft account with it. Everything's okay so far.

    I have completed all steps in this thread & activated..

    As per image its showing as activated n not showing any expiry date, does this means its permanently activated???

    Enterprise does not support media centre. And since you say it expires in 32 days, I suspect you installed the Eval edition, but then a Eval edition should activate by itself....did you tried the funny Korea "activator" on it?

    Yes unfortunatly it's the Enterprise evaluarion edition. Should I install Pro edition? (i'm a little noob, what's korea activator?)

    What version of win 8 did you install, GVLK (Client Key) you tried is for Pro.
