Activating Microsoft Windows 8 Pro with media center for free with legitimate key!

i activated my windows 8 pro and office 2013 via phone activation...i was doing up-gradation of windows 8 pro to windows 8 pro MC using Microsoft free key. windows 8 pro activation backup could not be restored onto my laptop and i was ended in loosing my office MAK activation backup, what i was strangely witnessed was the confirmation id which was used for office 2013 activation still works. i think no matter how many time you use the office 2013 product key the installation id generated will be the same and confirmation id given by Microsoft is good to be used for future activation this is what i experienced and found out during my activation backup and restore mess up.

Well, I didn't receive my key. It's already 33 hours ago that I applied. I doubt that I'll still get it. Should I try again? Or try with a different key?

At least now I'm activated. The ****************:1688 worked. That gives me 180 days before I have to activate again (right?), and I think I can do without WMC. Of course I still prefer to get this working and get a real key

it also depends on the amount of traffic hitting that place too. when its congested it can take a while. some have waited over 2 days. Glad ya got'em

 

Please remind me why we have to use data.dat to activate permanently?
What does data.dat include in it and how come the sama data.dat file works for any of us?

I've downloaded an .iso image from The Pirate Bay awhile ago. I was just wondering if this copy would work with my key?

When I re-install, what exactly do I need to do? Can I just restore the activation or do I need some special Win 8 Pro + MC disc or will it fix itself after restart?

Yes, it will activate. You have to have the right data.dat, and the key has to be activated before 1/31/2013 ( I believe that was the date...).
I tested it several times...

If I understand things correctly, you can use the key for new installs after the date, but only if it was *first* used/ activated before.
But in your example, I think the PC would probably be considered a new/different PC (with all the hardware changes) so it would probably not activate.
