Also even for those who activated before the original method was blocked. Advanced Token Manager actually reports the KMS key when you backup activation here, meaning that there are still traced of KMS in the data.dat

I am in the U.S. and tested this this weekend. Applied for the $14.99 upgrade path received discount code within 10 minutes .. downloaded Upgrade assistant and purchased using code $14.99 + tax .. Received key .. Downloaded image per upgrade assistant (ISO) .. Put image on USB .. Put clean drive in .. Booted with acronis disk and cloned W7 OS .. Booted to USB and installed W8 using custom tile to delete all partitions on cloned drive .. was connected to net .. Installed new key when asked .. Chose custom for after settings when process done fully activated retail for $14.99 + tax . I did this so I would have my own clean retail data.dat file

 

Which is why I was wondering if someone could share a legally activated data.dat file, like the one in his test 4.

when u do an online activation the process generates an id related to ur hardware config and stores it in the tokens.dat. when transferred on another pc with different hardware id, spp detects that difference and then wont load the activation file.

no slmgr -ato returns not genuine error with his dat, while my $14 key dat activates with slmgr -ato(on my other systems) , so don't know why his dat is not able to do it. also my dat is lot smaller that his without office

is your dreamspark account not dear to you? I doubt MS can track this dat till you and even your dat gives the not genuine error , so I guess only retail keys are capable of slmgr -ato as of now.

@Hackeur! I used that /ato command which Deactivated my Windows. Since then i am looking for an alternative method and was considering using this "data.dat" method.

I was mainly looking for an Automated bat file to make my job easier, Thanks To you. HOWEVER, My Windows still refuse to Activate. It says:
"Activation Server has Reported that the product key has exceeded its Unlock Limit".
... and yes i DID use my Free WMC key.

Am I doing something wrong? OR do i have to use that KMS Activator again, to activate my windows and THEN use this key?

 

both -J8CK4 and -CRYQH keys are blocked now

 

Defaults Keys aren't blocked. They should have blocked the keys of the files data.dat used. As would be expected ...

Yep, you must have WMC installed before using this script. Should be equal which key you use for installation. In script you have to use your personal key.
