Microsoft stopped giving free keys since last 3 days now. gives terms & conditions logo.

 

did they block my ip. tries proxies too but get message " We couldn't process your order.

I had the same problem for many many days even trying with different machines, different IP address etc...
Until I found somewere what the problem was: now they store information about your request in your browser cookies. So if you use Chrome and synchronize your browsers on all your machines even if if you try from a different machine you still get the same message.

What I did to fix the problem was just to install Firefox (do not import cookies) and use it to send my request and it worked like a charm.
For test I have just removed the cookies in firefox and did a second request with same machine, ID, etc few minutes later (of course you have to specify a different email address) and it did work fine.

I have tried option 3 this morning, once install win8 using the key provided.
can't pass steps 2 because it need to active the windows 8 in order to upgrade with the WMC key.

anymore tips? else i will try it with options 2.

Sorry for the newb question, but how do you edit the data.dat file? Opening it with Notepad or Wordpad just gives me gibberish.

 

you don't edit the data.dat file, just replace it.

@fblouis did you follow the instruction exactly? i didn't test it myself, but from the feedback i got it works

 

You MUST follow exactly the instructions on "Pro-WMC_Upgrade_Notes.pdf " (Solution 3: use the keys in the pdf) and after that use your data.dat previously backup with Advanced Tokens Manager

 

Method posted by kelorgo worked for me fine after upgrading Windows 8 Pro to Windows 8 Pro with WMC using a retail key. Its not working this time. What I did wrong was upgraded with the key from MS after activating Windows 8 Pro with KMS. Could it be the reason for it? Nothing happens after that last step and also that bat file method isn't working.

 

Is still working here. Tested with these data.dat versions (one is from PCBeta and was posted here some days ago, other is from a forum member):

After running /ato offline it shows todays date .

 

Confirm also all above are still working, funny thing with Jessica's. Initially I get an Null Date Activated (as in nothing shows), running -ato offline it becomes Current?

these keys still work , but if you run slmgr /ato it will become deactivated,
