Activating Microsoft Windows 8 Pro with media center for free with legitimate key!

OK, I'm testing now on my test-notebook. I'm sure it'll work...
I'm not interested in adding MC after restoring activation to the barebones W8Pro. I just want (for future use) to do an (unattended) install, then the activation restore, the be done.

 

Outcome for Acronis True Image Backup for me between 10 and 15 GB. It´s compressed, 15 GB is from version is running for a while.

 

souns like a good plan man, i am confident it will work as I tried it few times wihtout a hitch

BTW, my true image back up is 30GB with all installed including MC and Off 2013

 

OK, that's not exactly what I meant [the size of the backup, mentioned by s1ave77]. I was just wondering about the (1) Re-install W8Pro (2) Only use ATM with the backed-up activation info (3) Check if I'm activated, without all the WMC hassle.

Point is, assumed this restore will work, you also will need an install-media with wmc integrated, means an Windows 8 Pro WMC ISO, like done in Win 8 AIO thread.

 

few minutes I thought about the universal recovery option of acronis but this is a heavy thing

Compressed at max image 17GB = WIN WMC + MSO2013 + Adobe CS6 Master, deployed = 37GB

 

Hey my friend, I think it may be easier t just add MC after activating win 8, it is a very brief process that can be done on its own

 

OK, once more to be clear: I just added WMC because I "had to", to get the activation. After a clean install, I only want the activation back, *not* the WMC. So like hbhb says, I hope adding the MC has nothing to do with the activation. (Still testing on the notebook).

...as long as you're still here: After the clean setup, I'd better "slmgr /ipk ...." the new mail-key first right? Before the ATM restore?

 

ATM will ask to input key and will give you last 4 to complete per my experience

 

Is there a real need for the Windows Media Center, I havent been using it even with Windows 7
I've activated Windows 8 Pro through phone and I am fine with it.

If you never used it, than you wont mis it. But i managed all my digital movies with it and got used to it's lay-out.
And as sayed above, it's a loophole to a permanent activation.

 

Could you explain that a bit more? What do you mean by "a loophole to a permanent activation"?

 

Simple: You can permanently activate a windows 8 pro, just by entering the WMC key and activate against MS server. Don't think MS knew that this could happen.
