Hello, I recently downloaded a 180 day Trial of Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter. I wanted to know if I can use a modded BIOS to activate it. I have had some trouble with Activators that turn out to be viruses. I am new to modded BIOSes and wanted to know if I can use one to Activate my OS permanently. If so can I get a link to a download, and instructions? I am using a Dell Studio 540, with Server 2012. I'll wait for your replies. Thanks

Hello, it's me again. Thank you for your reply. I have read the link about converting it to RTM and it doesn't sound to difficult. But finding a Product Key will be. How long does the KMS activation last? Do you have a link to a KMS activator for Server 2012 Datacenter? I might want to try that. Thanks

Hi, I downloaded the Tool Kit and I'm ready to convert the evaluation to RTM. Converting looks a little difficult. First, I'm the only PC that has Server 2012 and I'm not sure how to install a second Domain Controller. Second, I would need a retail Version on that server. Is there an easy way of doing this?

Easiest way is to download the correct version :D.

Hi, Thank you for your replies. I will try downloading the correct version. I also found a site where you can buy Activation codes, so I might do that. I'm closing this thread, if I need anything else I'll start a new one. Thanks

Be careful and always keep in mind: If it´s too good it might be fake :cool2:.

Hi its me again. I came back with more questions! First, I downloaded a RTM version of Server 2012 R2, but when I try to install it asks me for an Activation Code. It doesn't give me the option to activate later. Does anyone know how I can get past this step so I can install, and then use the Microsoft Tool Kit to activate? Second, can anyone explain in more detail how to convert from Eval to RTM? How do I know if I'm the "Domain Controller?" And do I install a second domain controller on the same PC? I've only had Server 2012 for 3 days so I'm not sure on how to use it. Thanks

Success! I used the first option and I now have Server 2012 R2 Datacenter fully activated. Thanks for the help.

TIPP: Preparing the ISO with an ei.cfg will safe you from entering any keys at install stage :good3:. It's the way i go :D.
