Activating with the new OEM:SLP keys and OLD CERTIFICATES.... It worked, but what....

    Hello folks,

    i have a few questions refering to the activation process that we are using for now in combination with the newly leaked OEM:SLP keys. I hope, some gurus here can help me clearifying some things:

    1. Microsoft has changed the SLIC/SLP 2.0 model to 2.1. Why? We can still use the old certificates to activate W7 that are basing on SLIC/SLP 2.0. *->
    2. *-> In this case, will the OEMs release new digital certificates, and if yes, what is the difference between the old and the new ones?
    3. In the case, that the OEMs will release new certificates, how to manage uninstalling old certificates out of the system / tokens.dat to install a new one - if needed? Or will it end in reinstalling W7 to use new certs?
    4. Is it possible, that MS will detect the modded BIOS through software?

    i think a thread for 2.1 certificates would be good. which of the old vista certificates work and which dont?

    When i understood correctly, all old Vista certificates are working.
